ASA bans another gambling ad- this time it´s Poker

The ASA (Advertising Standards Authority in the UK) has banned another gaming ad- this time it´s poker´s turn.

A magazine ad for poker site Swank Poker, featuring a hot babe cupping her breasts with the header "Will you hold this pair for me?" has been deemed inappropriate by the adveritisng watchdog for suggesting that poker leads to sexual success. Er, quite...Quite an obvious one, no? Or were they just trying to punp things up a bit?

The ad campaign, which featured in a racy title called Flush, promised "hot action" to online poker players where "your favourite girl will play as you tell her to".

The Remote Gambling Association made a complaint to the ASA that the adverts promoted poker and sex and crossed the line. The ruling was that the adverts were a bit Swank and did breach the ad code and ordered they should not appear again. Swank Poker´s agency are reported to have a couple more ideas up their sleeve.
