Hippodrome Launches it's Online Casino

Posted on February 25th, 2013

We recently went to The Hippodrome Casino, in London’s Leicester Square, and I have to say, we were pretty impressed. There’s a real buzz inside (it was a Friday night I suppose), but the venue is great- big high ceilings with bars and chatting areas running around the gallery on the outside where you can peer over and watch the action unfolding on the gaming tables.

There are plenty of areas where you can escape for a quiet chat and a beer, before you rejoin the action on the tables below. Then there’s a dance floor tucked away for those who fancy strutting their stuff- in all, it’s a really interesting maze of different rooms and areas with an overarching gambling theme. This is the closest thing that we have seen to Las Vegas glamour in the UK. OK, it can’t compete on size with the huge gambling halls in Nevada, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in style and sophistication. It’s trendy urban gambling right in the middle of arguably the World City.

Hippodrome Online Casino £1000 Free

And now, The Hippodrome has announced that it is launching the Hippodrome Online Casino, which (runs on Microgaming- so lots of cool games like Thunderstruck II, some fantastic roulette variants and big progressive jackpots like the Mega Moolah Slot (click HERE for this).

The Betway Casino Group are running the operation. And they are also offering online poker from the poker Big Daddy PokerStars ( with an app for mobile and tablet users).

George Constantinou, the Hippodrome’s director of online operations, said: “We have put a huge amount of effort into creating a true synergy between the clubhouse and our online offer, including the breadth of gaming available and the look and feel of the site.

“We have even incorporated photography of the Hippodrome itself so players can recognise rooms and locations throughout the venue.

“Online players can load their accounts if they choose to visit us in Leicester Square, and we’re offering incentives to do so. I think it’s important to encourage our online customers to also experience our award-winning venue,” said Constantinou.

So this is there real point of difference. Watch out for promotions across the online and the landbased casinos as Constantinou tires to incentivise players in Leicester Square to play online and to lure online players into the casino in London.
